WORLDS OF WORK is a project of East AlabamaWorks, the East Alabama regional arm of the Alabama Workforce Council.  WOW is a large career expo that provides eighth graders and high school juniors, from all across the seven-county East AlabamaWorks workforce development region, a chance to explore their future careers! Employers from throughout the region present more than 100 careers in a fun and friendly, hands-on presentation that gives each student a real-life look at what their future career might be.

An event as big as Worlds of Work needs A LOT of volunteers! In 2018, more than 800 people volunteered to help, we had 1200 in 2019, and will need even more in 2020!

Worlds of Work is an interactive expo with activities that are designed to help students make smart choices for their future and encourage them to stay in school. The desired outcome is to improve high school graduation rates and develop career interests among students to move their communities forward with workforce ready graduates.

Worlds of Work will be held on Tuesday, March 10 - Wednesday, March 11 - Thursday, March 12 of 2020. Volunteers will be needed in numerous roles all three days!

If you would like to learn more about volunteer roles at Worlds of Work, email Lisa Morales at lmorales@eastalabamaworks.com or Carl Brady at cbrady@eastalabamaworks.com! A volunteer registration link will be added to this page once volunteer recruitment for the 2020 event begins.
