STUDENTS & PARENTS
Please Note: Worlds of Work is not open to the public and is not a come-and-go event. Visits are scheduled and organized by school, so your child will visit WOW with their school. If you are part of a private school or home school organization that has not already made arrangements to attend, please contact Lisa Morales at lmorales@eastalabamaworks.com.
The Worlds of Work Career Expo features employers from business and industry throughout the East AlabamaWorks workforce region, which includes Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Randolph, and Talladega counties.
Over the course of the 3-day Worlds of Work event, more than 8,000 eighth graders and high school juniors will visit the Oxford Civic Center in Oxford, Alabama to learn more about the exciting jobs that are available all over the region. Presenters have booth/display space in their associated Career World and provide personnel and equipment from their business so that the students can enjoy lively interaction and hands-on experience in a variety of career fields.
Eighth graders will attend on Tuesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 11. The high school juniors will attend on Thursday, March 12.
